Happy 4th of July!

This year for 4th of July, Trey decided we should have our families come over to our house in Stillwater. My parents, Grandma, Trey's parents, Misty (Trey's sister) + kids, and Dustin (Trey's brother) + Jason all came for the festivities. At first, I was really bummed out, because it began to rain shortly after everyone had arrived. Not very good 4th of July weather!! We set up our tables/chairs in the garage and spent the majority of the evening there. The City of Stillwater had cancelled their big fireworks display due to the weather. Luckily, it stopped raining after a few hours, and we were able to do some fireworks of our own. Despite the yucky weather, a good time was had by all. I love being a hostess! =)

My mother-in-law made another festive cake...complete with sparklers! The sparklers got smoke/black residue all over the frosting...but we ate it anyway! It was yummy!





The kids AND the grown-ups had a lot of fun witht he hula hoops! And Trey was really good at it! And, my abs were really sore the next day!!







It finally got dark (and dry!) enough to do some more fireworks.




The only minor injury of the night: One of the punks somehow ended up going up Devin's nose. Nobody really saw it happen, so nobody's really sure what actually happened. But he got some ice and a cold towel...and he was good to go!
